Holiday/After School Programs

Our Mountain Bike Skills Programs are designed for learning new skills and having fun in a safe and positive environment!

Our AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS are delivered in Terms 1 and 4 in Kempsey and Port Macquarie. The programs are delivered weekly for 8 weeks during the school term for 1 hours per lesson with a group of up to 8 children. Kids bring their own working mountain bike, gear and supplies to each lesson. Each lesson the instructor and assistant instructor will take the group for a ride and focus on different skills to help kids be safe and have fun out on the trails. The program is focused on bike handling techniques and makes kids fitter, stronger and loving the outdoors! Our SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAMS are a two half day bike fun focus and held only in Kempsey these holidays.  Kicking off with a warm up ride, bike safety, then breaking for morning tea which is supplied, follows by skills and fun games.  Click the links below for more details.

Montem Bike Tours is an approved provider of the Active Kids Vouchers.

Active Kids is a NSW Government program which helps families across the State meet the cost of getting their children into sport and active fitness and recreation activities, such as Mountain Biking! Parents and carers of school-aged children can claim two $100 Active Kids vouchers per child each year. Voucher 1 is valid from January through to December and Voucher 2 is valid from July to December.

Every child (4.5 – 18 years old) enrolled in school from Kindergarten to Year 12 is eligible for an Active Kids voucher. This includes those who are home-schooled or enrolled in secondary school education at TAFE NSW.

The Vouchers

Families can apply for and redeem both of their Active Kids vouchers with Montem Bike Tours! Voucher 1 can be redeemed from 1 January to 18 December, and Voucher 2 can be redeemed from 1 July to 18 December.

Both Active Kids vouchers redeemed with Montem Bike Tours will go towards programs/camp costs.

How to use your Active Kids vouchers with Montem Bike Tours

Using your Active Kids vouchers is as easy as 1, 2, 3:

  1. Apply for your Active Kids voucher on the Service NSW online portal here. You will need your current Medicare card.
  2. Download a copy of your voucher.
  3. Upon booking your program, let us know you have your voucher so we can adjust the cost and complete the Redemption Process.  We will need a copy of your child’s Active Kids voucher number, and your child’s legal name.
